About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead industrial and commercial electrical construction projects throughout the Louisville, KY area. This role is responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through closeout while ensuring schedules, budgets, safety, and quality expectations are consistently achieved.
The ideal candidate has experience managing electrical construction projects for an electrical contractor and is confident coordinating field operations, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal teams across a variety of industrial and commercial environments.
Responsibilities
- Manage industrial and commercial electrical construction projects from award through completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and procurement activities.
- Coordinate field superintendents, foremen, electricians, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, and electrical plans.
- Track project costs, labor productivity, materials, equipment, change orders, and billing.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, project documentation, closeout packages, and project reporting.
- Communicate regularly with clients, engineers, inspectors, and company leadership.
- Resolve project challenges involving scheduling, manpower, materials, and field coordination.
- Monitor project progress to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards.
- Maintain compliance with company safety policies, industry standards, and applicable electrical codes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of electrical construction project management experience preferred.
- Experience managing industrial and commercial electrical construction projects for an electrical contractor.
- Background with manufacturing facilities, industrial plants, automotive facilities, commercial buildings, institutional projects, or service and maintenance work is preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and field operations.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
- Experience managing project budgets, labor forecasting, procurement, subcontractors, and change orders.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction project management software.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to local project sites.
