Ability Action Australia are looking for Behaviour Support Practitioners of  all experience and suitability levels  in Ryde, Bankstown and surrounding areas .

In this role you will

  • Supporting NDIS participants, along with their families and carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning
  • Owning the assessment, development and delivery of evidence-based support plans within a complex support environment
  • Driving meaningful goals and measurable outcomes, using a positive behaviour support framework and a commitment to eliminating restrictive practices
  • Ensuring plans reflect each participant’s goals, strengths and what matters most to them
  • Building the capability, confidence and understanding of those supporting participants in their day-to-day lives
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced practitioners

To be successful in this role you will have

  • A degree qualification as an allied health professional
  • Experience in report writing
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach, with a drive to improve outcomes and test new ideas
  • A genuine passion for working in the disability sector
