About The Role
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Maintain electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems by following work instructions, codes, schematics, and safety procedures to support reliable building operations.
- Troubleshoot facility and manufacturing equipment using manuals, blueprints, diagnostic tools, and root-cause thinking to restore safe performance.
- Repair, install, and modify electrical systems and components in line with applicable electrical code to support compliant operation.
- Inspect machinery, building systems, and maintenance needs through routine checks and preventive maintenance practices to reduce downtime.
- Support service and construction work by coordinating needs, reviewing completed work, and applying cost-conscious practices to help maintain quality.
- Use tools, equipment, and chemicals safely by following procedures, identifying hazards, and reporting concerns to protect people and operations.
- Document maintenance activity and communicate status clearly with production, maintenance, and operations partners to support planning and continuous improvement.

- You’ll work with manufacturing, operations, repair, and facility partners who rely on clear communication, respect, and shared accountability to keep work moving safely. Your collaboration will help Coperion and Hillenbrand strengthen dependable operations, support customers, and create a workplace where people can contribute and belong.
THE EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NEEDED
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance technician experience in a commercial or industrial environment.
- Practical knowledge of general maintenance, carpentry, painting, refurbishing, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC).
- Ability to read and use manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and work instructions to complete maintenance and repair tasks.
- Working understanding of electrical safety, electrical code requirements, and safe use of tools, equipment, and chemicals in an industrial environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, compare options, and use sound judgment to resolve problems or escalate when needed.
- Ability to prioritize multiple work requests, adapt to changing production needs, and complete work with accountability.
- Clear oral and written communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working across production, maintenance, and operations teams.
