Industrial Electrician / Controls Technician (CNC & PLC)

Pekin, IL

  • $35–$45/hr + Overtime
  • Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Be the Go-To Expert for Critical Equipment

  • If you’re the one people call when a machine goes down—and you can track the issue, fix it, and get production moving again—this role is built for you.
  • You’ll be working hands-on with CNC machines, PLC systems, and industrial electrical equipment , solving real problems that keep operations running.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems (up to 480V, 3-phase)
  • Diagnose and fix PLC issues (Allen-Bradley primarily)
  • Work on CNC machines and machine tool systems
  • Repair motors, VFDs, control panels, and components
  • Read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime
  • Support equipment installs, upgrades, and improvements
  • Respond to breakdowns and get machines back online quickly

What You’ll Work On

  • CNC machines & machine tool equipment
  • PLC-controlled systems (Allen-Bradley focus)
  • Drives, motors, and control panels
  • Sensors, wiring, and electrical components

Tools & Tech

  • Multimeters and electrical diagnostic tools
  • PLC troubleshooting software
  • Standard electrical and maintenance tools

Requirements

What You Need

  • 3–5+ years of industrial electrical experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with 480V systems
  • Experience reading schematics and prints
  • Experience working in manufacturing environments

Bonus If You Have

  • PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley or similar)
  • CNC or machine tool experience
  • Journeyman license or electrical training/apprenticeship

Work Environment

  • Hands-on manufacturing environment
