Cyber Security Engineer II

Cyber S ecurity Engineer IIs d esign, implement and maintain security systems/services to prevent malicious activity . They s erve as a point of escalation for first level engineers.

• Design s and implement s projects/services that enhance and improve current security offerings and strategies.
• Respond s to internal and external client requests. Requests include but are not limited to firewall changes, DNS creation/modification, renewing/purchasing SSL certificates, and secure configuration of hosted sites and services.
• Install s and configure s firewalls, intrusion preventions systems, web application firewalls, and agents in accordance with current industry standards and best practices to create a secure environment and protect customer data.
• Proactively mitigate s threats through active collaboration with the Cybersecurity Analysts.
• Perform s recurring vulnerability mitigation by upgrading device software to a non-affected version, or modification to the current configuration to remediate vulnerabilities.
• Complete s continuing education requirements to maintain an appropriate understanding of the evolving security landscape.
• Participate s in after-hour o n- c all rotation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Professional level position in described technology ; three (3) year relevant experience preferred. Accredited university, college or trade school education or training in applicable technology, advanced degrees or certifications recommended (e.g., CISSP, etc.).
