SEO Implementation Team Lead

About The Role
Open to Latin America - Working EST timezone
We're the all-in-one agentic marketing platform. AI-native from day one. We're not joining a category, we're defining it.
The Implementation Team Lead owns the performance, health, and growth of the Implementer team and its client portfolio end to end; combining people management, escalation ownership, client-level sales/retention work, and hands-on technical problem-solving. The role also carries a large internal-tooling function: building and maintaining the dashboards, trackers, and automation the team runs on.
What you'll own
- Team management & people leadership
- Run daily lead huddles (peer Team Leads) and the daily Implementer team sync
- Hold recurring 1:1s with each Implementer; provide coaching (communications, technical/agentic-engineering skills)
- Maintain performance management artifacts: Employee Performance records, Employee Review Board, Weekly Employee Review, Deel feedback submissions
- Review and approve team time tracking (Hubstaff) daily
- Set and track quarterly team objectives (EOS "Rocks")
- Portfolio oversight & KPI ownership
- Maintain the IMP Scorecard, Retention scorecard, and customer health dashboard across the whole book of business
- Track billing and quota utilization per account
- Own and evolve internal reporting metrics (e.g., First Response Time)
- Review and formalize role permissions (Permissions Matrix) across the team
- Escalation handling
- Serve as the point of escalation for issues Implementers can't resolve (platform bugs, OTTO/MCP/integration failures, billing issues, etc) — log, ticket (Linear + Slack + client project), and drive to resolution with Product/Engineering/Billing
- Take direct ownership of at-risk or churning accounts — running post-mortems, offboarding negotiations, and building new process (e.g., a churn-flow SOP) in response
- Track and follow up on ongoing open tickets for implementation clients as a standing catch-all across the team
- Client-facing work at the lead level
- Own the flagship/highest-touch client relationships personally (weekly syncs, strategy reviews)
- Run sales discovery calls for new implementation engagements
- Prepare and send proposals; close renewals and set up billing (Stripe)
- Step in on strategy reviews for accounts under pressure
- Process & SOP ownership
- Build and maintain the SOP library (implementation packages, technical-issue reporting, dashboard usage, cancellation/contract language)
- Define and update package scopes (e.g., 2H/5H/10H/15H tiers)
- Standardize shared templates (master sheet, tab naming) across the team's accounts
- Roll out new SOPs to adjacent teams (Support, Marketing, CSM) when process changes cross team lines
- Cross-team coordination
- Coordinate with Support, CSM, Product/Engineering, DevOps, Marketing, and Retention on shared accounts and shared tooling
- Represent Implementation in company-wide meetings (All Hands, quota/credit-system launches, sales summits)
- Internal tooling & automation (significant time allocation)
- Design, build, and maintain internal dashboards and trackers for the team: performance dashboards (30/90/180-day trends), a centralized implementation data hub, project/activity trackers, client portfolio dashboards
- Maintain the infrastructure behind these tools (CI/CD, hosting migrations, API integrations to GSC/GA4/GBP/LLMV/KRT/heatmaps data)
- Build and pilot AI/agentic tooling for the team (custom Claude-based workflows, MCP integrations, AI Gateway setup)
- Direct execution (still a meaningful share of time)
- Personally field and assign client implementation-package bookings to the team
- Do direct technical troubleshooting (schema, OTTO connections, downtrend/traffic-drop diagnostics) for escalations
- Apply hands-on technical SEO knowledge to these escalations, not just general troubleshooting
- Prepare and revise client-facing reports and deliverables directly when needed
You'll thrive here if...
- You can sit in on a client escalation call in the morning and debug a schema issue in the afternoon.
- You'd rather build the dashboard than ask someone else to build it for you.
- You don't wait to be told what to do. You see the gap and you move.
- Deadlines don't rattle you. Ambiguity doesn't either.
- You're an AI power user, not someone who's "open to learning it someday."
- You communicate clearly, especially when things are unclear.
- You have opinions and you're not afraid to bring them.
- You can laugh at a chaotic week on Friday and mean it.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of experience leading a client-facing implementation, support, or technical account management team.
- Comfortable owning both people management and hands-on technical troubleshooting at the same time.
- Working knowledge of tools like Linear, ClickUp, Hubstaff, Stripe, and API integrations (GSC, GA4, GBP, or similar).
- You've built internal tools or automations before, not just used the ones someone else made.
- AI native or highly competent with AI tools. This is a must.
Our Recruitment Process
- Initial screening call with our recruitment team
- Technical assessment to showcase your skills
- Interview with our Hiring Manager
- Offer extended
What working here actually looks like
High expectations. Real ownership. Things change fast and we don't apologize for it. You'll work with smart people who push you, a product that keeps getting better, and a team that's genuinely building something new.
We'll probably give you more to own than you expected. That's on purpose.
We use AI every day, across every function. That's just how we work.
