About The Role
The Opportunity
As a Senior Software Engineer at Animore, you will build and operate the web services and tooling that let our AI/ML teams train and benchmark models at scale. You will also work across our data farm - the software that runs on the robots themselves, the services that collect data from them, and the tooling we use to manage and monitor our fleet of 100+ data collection stations.
You will take ownership of one or more services end to end - from design through deployment and day-to-day operation in the cloud - working closely with team leads, data farm managers, and AI/ML engineers to turn real operational needs into reliable, well-built software.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate web services and tooling supporting the training, benchmarking and management of models
- Design, build and operate the data-collection software that runs on the robots in our data-farm
- Design, build and operate tooling to manage and monitor our fleet of 100+ data collection stations
- Own services end-to-end - from architecture and implementation through deployment and cloud operations
- Work closely with team leads, data farm managers, and AI/ML engineers to translate their workflows and processes into working services
- Build reliable, well-tested backend systems in Python, backed by SQL databases
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployment workflows (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Improve service reliability, observability, and developer experience as usage and scale grow

Must Have
- Computer Science degree or equivalent practical experience
- 3-5+ years building and operating web services (backend-focused; frontend experience a plus)
- Strong Python skills and experience working with SQL databases
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Proactive and ownership-driven, comfortable switching context across services and priorities
- Able to dive into unfamiliar domains autonomously and turn ambiguous processes into working software
